Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

The Internet is a powerful information and entertainment tool, we would expect our customers to use the Internet with respect, courtesy, and responsibility, giving due regard to the rights of other Internet users.

Our acceptable use policy is actively and strictly enforced. Offending content or users are removed from our network, and without refund, usually as soon as they are discovered, although we will always inform you why any action has been taken.

Common sense is the best guide as to what is considered acceptable use, however the following are unacceptable uses.

• No Refunds


• No Pornography (No adult content of any kind)


• No Gamers


• No storing files (our server is not storage facility)


• No Acution Web sites


• No Video files


• No Music files


• No Shout Box


• No Downloads


• No Selling Space on your account

Canceling you existing subscription without contacting us prior to billing will result in you no longer being eligible for your current low cost hosting fee. Should you decide to stay on our server you will pay the fee being charged for accounts at that time.

Illegality
In any form, including but not limited to the unauthorized distribution or copying of copyrighted software or other data, harassment, fraud, trafficking in obscene material.

Storing Files
Storage of files is forbidden

Undesirable Content
Certain types of content are not allowed on our network. We do not host adult content of any description. Content relating to Hacking, Cracking, Warez and IRC is not allowed. All software downloads including freeware, shareware and trial software is forbidden. Sites that contain any of the following and anything else decided by JoeUSA.com Hosting Services to be undesirable shall immediately be shut down without written notice to Customer (a) Customer site is found to be a Warez (illegal software), Adult site, links or advertising for an Adult Site, hacker/cracker site, hate site, gambling or Casino sites etc. JoeUSA.com Hosting Services reserves the right to determine and judge in its sole and absolute discretion which site is inappropriate. (b) Customer’s who have incorrect or bad scripts running on shared servers that result in increased CPU usage, slow down of the server(s) and/or stoppage of the server will have their sites shut down immediately until the problem is corrected. JoeUSA.com Hosting Services will not be held responsible in any way for the downtime associated with Customer’s bad scripts that require closure of the responsible site, nor will any financial remuneration or refund be issued for such a closure. JoeUSA.com Hosting Services will not tolerate violation of Canadian/U.S. export restrictions, harassment, fraud, trafficking in obscene material, drug dealing, gambling/casino sites and other illegal activities. Net abuse, including but not limited to activities such as using a non-existent email return address on a commercial solicitation, spamming (sending unsolicited advertising to numerous email addresses or newsgroups and/or generating a significantly higher volume of outgoing email than a normal user)

Bulk Email
The use of our network to send bulk email whether opt-in or otherwise, and the use of bulk email to promote a site on our network is strictly forbidden.

Misuse Of Resources
Including but not limited to employing applications which consume excessive CPU time, memory or storage space. Chat/IRC, web proxy and mailing list scripts are not allowed on our network under any circumstances. Streaming media can be a drain on web server resources and as such is not allowed. CGI based message forums which use flat file databases are often found to use excessive system resources, to avoid disappointment please use a PHP message forum.
